A portrait session with Jamala — Ukrainian singer, songwriter and winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with 1944. Her work carries personal and historical meaning, particularly through the story of the Crimean Tatars. Photographing her was an opportunity to create images that reflect both her strength as a performer and the emotional depth behind her music.
Getting to photograph her was one of those moments you don’t take for granted.
